27-Sep-2025: Why God created Humans: You Were Born for More
Opening Prayer
Introduction
Hebrews 9:27
“It is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment.”
- In Hebrews 9:27 we see that one day, we will stand before the Lord God Almighty.
- Before the Lord who is the Author of our lives. The One who formed us in the womb. The One who knows everything about us — every thought, every action, every motive.
- Imagine standing in the presence of perfect holiness.
- His eyes like flames of fire, piercing through every layer of your being.
- Nothing hidden. Nothing overlooked. Every second of your life laid bare.
- I want you to just stop right now and imagine that moment.
Ecclesiastes 12:14
“For God will bring every deed into judgment, including every hidden thing, whether it is good or evil.”
- What if in that moment, God said: “I gave you talents, gifts, and opportunities…but you never reached your full potential.”
- What if He said: “I whispered to you — telling you over and over again: There is more to life than this. But you ignored Me. You chose a life I never designed for you.”
- Some of you hearing this will never become the person God created you to be.
- Not because He didn’t give you the chance, But because you refused to answer the call.
- God has already placed potential inside you.
I want to remind you that:
- You are not an accident and you are not here by chance.
- The odds of you even being born were 1 in 400 trillion and that doesn’t even consider the chances of your parents meeting.
- You have a better chance of being struck by lightning…than simply existing.
- Don’t dare believe the lie that you don’t matter and don’t ever say your life has no purpose. You are here because God chose you.
Proving this from God’s Word
Jeremiah 1:5
“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart.”
- Here in Jeremiah we learn some amazing things about ourselves before we were even born
- We learn that:
- God knew us before we were even formed in our mother’s womb.
- He sanctified us. Meaning He set us apart BEFORE we were even born.
- He ordained us…meaning that He called us to a life of purpose.
- This is why we never felt like we fully fit in — because we were never meant to blend in.
- We were called to stand out.
Exodus 9:16
“But I have raised you up for this very purpose, that I might show you My power.”
- Everything God creates has a purpose:
- Every tree, every bird, every star in the sky…
- And you are no different.
- You were born with greatness in you.
- You were born with heaven’s fingerprint on your soul.
- Philippians 4:13
“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” —
- This means:
- Failure can’t stop you.
- The lack of money or material posessions can’t stop you.
- Rejection can’t stop you.
- Obstacles can’t stop you.
1 Peter 2:9
But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.
- Here 1 Peter 2:9 describes believers as a “chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, and God’s special possession.”
- This verse emphasizes the unique identity and purpose of Christians
- They are set apart by God to reflect His glory and proclaim His greatness, having been brought out of darkness into His marvelous light.
- Chosen Generation: Believers are intentionally selected by God.
- Royal Priesthood: They hold both the honor of royalty and the role of priests — serving, worshiping, and having direct access to God.
- Holy Nation: Christians form a distinct, sacred community set apart for God’s purposes.
- God’s Special Possession: They are deeply valued and belong to God.
Ephesians 1:4-6
For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight. In love He predestined us for adoption to sonship through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will — to the praise of his glorious grace, which he has freely given us in the One he loves.
- This verse teaches that God’s decision to call and love His people was made before the foundation of the world — long before we ever existed.
- His choice was not based on our actions or merit, but was rooted in His eternal purpose and grace.
- He chose us in Him: God selected believers to be united with Christ. The choice is not apart from Christ, but entirely in Him — emphasizing that salvation is through and because of Jesus.
- Before the creation of the world: This points to the timeless nature of God’s plan. His purpose was established in eternity, not in response to human history or behavior.
- To be holy and blameless in His sight: God’s purpose in choosing us is not only salvation but sanctification. He calls His people to live holy lives that reflect His character, made possible through Christ.
- In LOVE He predestined us for adoption to sonship and daughtership through Jesus Christ
- This in accordance with his good pleasure and will
2 Timothy 1:9
“He has saved us and called us to a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to His own purpose and grace, which was given to us in Christ Jesus before time began.”
Here in 2 Timothy 1:9 the verse reinforces WHAT God’s call in our life is TRULY based on:
- It say here it is based on His purpose and grace
- It says it is NOT based on anything we’ve done
- And it says that it was granted to us before time began.
1 Peter 1:2
“who have been chosen according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through the sanctifying work of the Spirit, to be obedient to Jesus Christ and sprinkled with his blood…”
- Peter highlights that believers are chosen in accordance with God’s foreknowledge, and that this choice involves a process of sanctification and obedience.
- You were born to win. You were created to lead, not follow. To be the head and not the tail, above only and not beneath. And yes — you will have haters.
- That’s because they see something inside of you. Something they may never understand.
- But don’t be intimidated. You are one of a kind — an original design by the Master Creator.
- No one sees the world like you. No one thinks like you.
- You were uniqely called to do what you were purposed to do.
Conclusions From These Passages
- Even if you don’t believe what has been stated here…we know it is still true. Deep down, there’s a voice inside you that agrees. We just suppress it.
- You were sent from eternity into time to fulfill a purpose only you can fulfill.
- But many today believe the lie that to fulfill their purpose they must be rich, famous, or status in the eyes of the world.
- That’s NOT true.
- Maybe your purpose is to:
- Be the best teacher in your school.
- The best parent in your family.
- The missionary in a place no one else wants to go.
- The business owner who honors God. That’s the purpose.
So today, I challenge you:
- Today make a declaration to yourself, to your family, and to God Almighty
- Let that declaration be:
- That you will fulfill you purpose.
- That you will not waste the gifts God has placed in you.
- That you will stop living in fear and procrastination.
- If you already know your purpose, then stop being a passive, fragile Christian.
- Ephesians 6 says to “put on the whole armor of God. Pick up the shield of faith. Grab the sword of the Spirit. Stand firm.
- Why? Because your dreams will not be handed to you.
- You see…you have an enemy — and his mission is to destroy God’s plan for your life. He’s after your confidence. Your joy. Your clarity.
- Howeveer, you were not created to be a victim.
- Too many people die having never achieved the potential God has created in them.
- They die watching others and wishing they had their success, not realizing they had greatness inside them also.
- How long will you keep running from the call of God in your life?
- So stop taking the easy route.
- Stop quitting at the first sign of resistance.
- Take responsibility for your life. Look in the mirror and ask yourself honestly: “Am I using the gifts God gave me to their full potential?”
- If not — then today is the day.
- 2 Corinthians 6:2, states, “Now is the time of God’s favor, now is the day of salvation..”
- This verse emphasizes the importance of seizing the moment for spiritual opportunities
- It’s not too late. You are not too old. You are not too far gone.
- We know a brother who is now with The Lord. He studied The Bible and was baptized at 110 years of age and he died at 111 years old.
- God was not finished with him and God is not finished with you.
- Philippians 4:13 does NOT say: “I can do all things through the tools I was born with.”
- No, what that verse actually says is: “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”
- And if Christ is in you — You lack nothing. The world may be against you…But heaven is for you.
- And remember, IF God is for you, who can be against you?
- Brothers and sisters…today is the day of decision.
- So get up. Shake off any excuses. Begin to live your purpose. Step into the life you were born to live. Because you were made for more.
May The Joy of The Lord be your Strength and God Bless you all in The Mighty Name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth.
